Amanda Kaster
Amanda Kaster is a passion driven, dedicated professional whose roots started in Harrisburg PA, but has called Philadelphia home over the past 10 years.
A 2011 graduate of Temple University studying Public Relations and Communications Amanda’s appetite for connecting communities by creating free experiences through large-scale events evolved throughout her internship opportunities with the former Greater Philadelphia Tourism and Marketing corporation, now Visit Philadelphia and Welcome America, Inc., the City of Philadelphia’s July 4th celebration. Prior to graduation Amanda was fortunate to accept a full-time position as the Associate Director of Welcome America, Inc., making her the only year-round employee of the organization. As the only full-time employee Amanda was able to learn and support the many evolving parts of producing Philadelphia’s largest annual festival. Over her now 10 years with the organization Amanda has witnessed and been part of the evolution of what Wawa Welcome America is today. She has served under the leadership and direction of two Mayors and has carved her path to now oversee the organizations sponsorships the Vice President of Sponsorship and Community Impact.
Amanda thrives in a fast-paced working environment and remains calm under pressure with ever changing and evolving live large-scale public events. She is a positive thinker and all-in team member
Outside of work Amanda enjoys spending time outside hiking and paddleboarding with her dog Otis. Music and art have been a constant passion throughout her life and she can often be found exploring pop-up markets, concerts and new plant spots to continue to add to her growing family of house plants.
Amanda believes that by coming together and supporting each other, there’s nothing we can’t achieve.
